PC Laurie Harding demonstrates the pocket wireless set to Alderman Herbert Hone, Mayor of Brighton, at the Brighton Police Centenary celebrations in 1938. In 1933 the Chief Constable gave authority to purchase 30 pocket wireless sets for £443 and 10 shillings.
