The picture was taken by Mick Sinden outside the Police Station, on Batholomews, early one morning. The vehicle had taken part in the ‘Old Crocks’ run from London the day before.

The owners of these old, but valuable, vehicles would park them in Bartholomews as they thought it one of the safest streets in Brighton. Policemen were always going about their business at the nearby police station.
