Explore the Museum with an expert guide
Weave your way through Brighton’s original Old Police Cells underneath Brighton Town Hall as you learn about 200 years of Sussex policing and crime. You’ll see original graffiti from the 1964 clash between the Mods ‘n’ Rockers, the original court model from the bombing of the Grand Hotel by the IRA and the 2-way radio system developed by a Brighton police officer that would launch this form of communication in forces around the world.
Our guided tours are curated by one of our expert guides who will provide key information, facts and anecdotes, as you explore the cells.

If you would like to book a single ticket, please contact enquiries@oldpolicecellsmuseum.org.uk, and we’ll check whether there are other guests booked onto the tour so that you won’t be attending alone. While our tours usually accommodate up to 15 guests, we require a minimum of two tickets per booking to ensure we meet the baseline group size needed for our guides’ safety protocols.

We welcome walk-ins, but recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment. Tours may be fully booked, or a scheduled tour may not go ahead if no bookings have been made.
NB: The museum is closed for public tours December-January inclusive (private and school tours remain available via arrangement)
